“Thus out of small beginnings, greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things of nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and, as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many, yea in some sort to our whole nation.”

—William Bradford

Starting a school for our children had been a desire for many of us for more than a few years. Finally, the timing was right and in the spring of 2018 a group of families and individuals from Christ Fellowship Church began meeting weekly, and with kids playing and napping and toddling and running in and out, Koinonia Classical Christian School had begun.

KCCS offers a classical and Christ-centered K-12 education.

Our name (pronounced koi-nō-nē’-ä) comes from a Greek word that means “fellowship.” John uses this word in 1 John 1:3 when he says, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” We chose this name because we want to encourage and facilitate this kind of Koinonia.

We want our students to be in fellowship with one another, with those who have come before them in history through great books, and especially with God their Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that as a like-minded community functioning in fellowship, our lives will deeply satisfy us and supremely glorify God.

We were (and are) intent on giving our children and our children’s children a classical and Christ-centered education for our Father’s Kingdom and glory.

KCCS is a ministry of Christ Fellowship Church and is governed by a Board of Directors who serve at the pleasure of the elders of Christ Fellowship Church. As a ministry of Christ Fellowship Church KCCS is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt religious organization.
